Do we require a reservation?
Yes since the covid situation and a smaller staff we do require a reservation .
Are we handicap accessible? Absolutely! When arriving, there is a handicap ramp from ourparking lot up to the porch
Do I need to make a reservation to order High Tea or Afternoon Tea? Yes
Are children allowed? Yes, but unfortunately, we do not have highchairs or booster seats. We also ask that children are supervised and noise kept to a minimum so that we can uphold our Uplifting Dining Experience to our other customers in a relaxing atmosphere.
How large of a group can you accommodate? We have 4 dining rooms that are decorated in there own décor. Our largest room "the secret garden" accommodates up to 40 guest, The Tree top terrace accommodates 19 guest, The Parlor accommodates 21, and Grandma Helen's aka the blue room holds 4 guests. We also have group pricing for groups of 10 or more. A deposit is required for groups 10 or more to hold the reservation. A final count is required a week prior to the reservation date. The number that is settled at this time will be the number that will be charged in your final invoice which is paid via email. Group pricing requires one bill, not multiple guests paying.
Do you have a room that will accommodate a speaker for our group? If you wish to have a speaker for your group, we do require the entire Secret Garden room be reserved. This ensures that no other parties are in the Secret Garden who might overhear your speaker. Room fee will apply, depending on time and day of your reservation or if fewer than 30 people attend.
Do you host private parties? We would be honored to host a private party for you, call 352-593-4111 for more information.
Do you allow our party to bring gifts? Although we do allow gifts to be brought, due to the limited time of your reservation, we ask that gifts be opened only if you have enough time left in your 2 hour reservation.
Do you have a Dairy free, Gluten free or vegetarian menu? As most tea rooms, dairy products will be a part of most items. Our Quiche and Chicken Curry salad can be offered gluten free with a 48 hour notice. We do offer salads and a crustless quiche. Please inform your server of any dietary needs or when making your reservation, so that we can try to accommodate. We would need a 48 hour notice for any special dietary needs, but cannot guarantee.
Can I bring in my own decorations or food? We would need to be notified ahead of time to make a decision on any decorations being brought in. Any outside food or drink is prohibited.
So, how do I see the other dining rooms for a group? It would be my honor to escort you through the dining rooms for a potential group dining for a special occasion. Just please be courteous and call for an appointment and a time will be designated.
